Following another successful round of examinations, the MAGB is delighted to congratulate the candidates who have passed their malting qualifications.
Fundamentals in Malting
Lucas Thornton of Soufflet Bairds Malt Ltd, Burton upon Trent, successfully achieved the Fundamentals in Malting qualification in February this year. He was presented with his certificate by Graham Taylor, representing the MAGB examiners earlier this month.
Malting Diploma, June 2026 exam
The following candidates successfully passed the Malting Diploma:

Lisa Chibira — Delta Beverages, Zimbabwe
Paidamoyo Ruoko — Delta Beverages, Zimbabwe
Paul Mangiza — Delta Beverages, Zimbabwe
Prosper Makara — Delta Beverages, Zimbabwe
In addition, a further seven candidates successfully passed an individual module within the Malting Diploma qualification.
In total, ten people have passed their Malting Diploma in 2026, the highest number of passes for many years.
These qualifications require considerable time, commitment and dedication, making this a significant achievement for everyone involved. The MAGB congratulates all successful candidates and wishes them continued success in their malting careers.
